For this week's lab hours, Mandi and I were assigned to wash all those stinky and dirty costumes that the actors will be wearing for the play. Although doing the laundry is supposed to be easy, we still had some challenges. But that was mainly because the washing machine is so vintage and works differently from the ones we have used before. In the end, however, we were successful in making those clothes smell nice and look clean again.
Elizabeth (the one playing Michelle) also came during our lab hours. We had her try several of the dresses that we chose for her and they looked stunning. The photo on the right shows one of my most favorite costumes for her because she had this amazing glow with that pastel-colored dress. The other Elizabeth (the one playing the nurse) also came and tried the newly washed nurse costume. We had her try size 10 before and it was too tight, but luckily for us we found a size 14. And amazingly, the size 14 on was really good on her. It was so perfect that it looked like it was made for her body.
Christina and I also painted several buttons that we thought might look good on Dan's clothes. I painted a PacMan button and it looked pretty decent, but Christina's ghostbusters pin was the loveliest. See the photo of the button here: (click here)
